With dream in my eyes after completing BE Aeronautical in 2015, I started looking for a job in the aviation industry. A resident of small village near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, I travelled across India in search of a job and to my bad luck landed into a trap in Delhi, where I was cheated of a few thousand rupees under the pretext of getting me a job. Since I did not know Hindi well and had very limited exposure out of Coimbatore, it took me a while to understand the situation and I had wasted one more year sorting out the mess, due to which I lost my confidence.
In search of a job I reached Mumbai and got in touch with Dr. Praveen Srivastava through a common connect. I could feel the positive vibes in my first telephonic conversation with Praveen Sir and met him at his office soon. It was a life changing experience for me. Meeting him for the first time, I returned back to my PG accommodation fully charged with positive thoughts and motivated to build a great career after all the initial setbacks I had in past 3 years. I was much confident and kept trying for a job in Mumbai, but hard luck I couldn’t find one in 2 months. I decided to approach Dr. Praveen Srivastava again and took an appointment to meet him through his secretary. When I met him for the 2nd time, I narrated my story to him, which he listened patiently and gave a broad smile saying “this is a common story of many candidates who come to me”. He encouraged me by offering a job in his company as a time-gap arrangement till I find my dream job.
I was excited with this job, moreover with the opportunity to work with Praveen Sir, which was absolutely a privilege for me. During my employment there I could feel the improvement in me, over next 12 months I was a changed person – confident and motivated to achieve my career goals. I learnt various soft skills along with communication and sales skills under the guidance of Dr. Srivastava and other team members. Sir also gave me the opportunity to undergo a certified trainer program at his company’s cost. Within a year I had built a good network and gained recognition in the industry which gave me my own identity.
Due to my family compulsions, I had to move back to my home town. I kept in touch with Praveen Sir over WhatApp and he was kind enough to guide me whenever I needed his support. Now I am employed with a Coimbatore based company Planet-X Aerospace closer to my home town and handle their business development activities. I can’t forget Dr. Praveen Srivastava Sir’s mentorship which changed my personality and helped me build my career.
